Pray-Think-Act Ministries (PTAM) is a discipleship ministry that challenges believers to maintain their passion for the Lord Jesus Christ through the indispensable altar of private prayer (Mt.6:6). Indispensable, in the sense that one’s spiritual life will never rise above the practice of one’s private or secret prayer life. Because both the family and congregational prayer altars borrow their flames from the altar of private prayer, smothering the fire of the secret closet of prayer within our own hearts will tragically compromise the family prayer life as well as lessen the effectiveness of the corporate prayer ministry of the church. Therefore,
“The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must never go out.”Leviticus 6:13
God loves to see the hearts of His people glowing towards Him, blazing with love, and seeking His grace that this fire will never be quenched. Accordingly, we must pursue His presence through prayer and the Word (Acts 6:4), yield to His governance (Ga. 2:20) and be zealous for the redemption of depraved humanity (Mt. 28:19, 20).
Sadly, the vast majority of Christians are not living at this level. Their hearts have become diverted with the cares of the world, and they live below the norm of the New Testament pattern. The only remedy to rekindle those low-burning fires is the revival of the hearts of God’s people.
By revival we mean the inrush of Divine Energy into a believer’s soul that is on the brink of becoming a spiritual corpse. It is exclusively the work of the Holy Spirit, in concert with prayer and the Word of God, that restores the believer’s passion for Christ and causes them to flourish in the fruit of the Spirit (Ga. 5:22, 23).

The sacred fuel that ignites revival and keeps our hearts aflame with passion for Christ Jesus is fervently praying through the Scriptures by the power of the Holy Spirit in solitude with God.
In short, prayer is the ministry of all other ministries, and without it we limit God’s chosen method of work. Prayer is the means that God has ordained to accomplish His will on earth, not the means by which man gets his will done in heaven. And the neglect of prayer, particularly the secret closet of prayer, is the beginning of all spiritual decline.
This ministry is committed to the revival of God’s people.
