Christian Experience:
Mr. Burr experienced his second birth at a Methodist Men’s Retreat, Leesburg, FL on October 10, 1970 and continued in the corporate arena for another five years. During this five-year period (1970-75), he served as a Sunday School teacher, youth worker and deacon in his local church. Concurrently, he started a Christian Business Men’s Committee in Miami, Florida to reach executives for Christ. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Miami Christian College and on the board of directors of “Prayer Breakfast Ministry” in Miami, Florida (affiliate of National Prayer Breakfast; Washington, D.C). He entered the ministry on a full-time vocational basis with Campus Crusade for Christ in 1975. Mr. Burr was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in 1977. In addition, he was asked to initiate and lead the Prayer for Spiritual Awakening movement for the Southern Baptist Convention (HMB) in 1979—‘80. He also directed the prayer-training program for the Billy Graham Alaskan Crusade in 1983.
